In the majority of cases the hotel offers an airport shuttle service. The cost of which can be included in your hotel bill.
You can either hire a vehicle at the airport, this must be booked in advance, or if there are sufficient exhibitors requesting us to arrange on the ground transport, we do offer the option of ‘shared transport’. The cost of the hire, insurance, fuel etc is divided pro rata between the passengers. We charge for this option when invoicing for the stand cost.
The exhibitors usually take their banners, samples and literature on the flight with them.
We recommend a commercial invoice for your samples and banners as you may bring them back to RSA. The invoice value indicated should be very low as your samples are second hand and not for resale. A separate commercial invoice for gifts and literature as these will be handed out in that country and customs will levy an import duty. Again, keep the value very low.
Only VISA and Master card. It is advisable to carry some cash and exchange to the local currency.
Within the SADC region South African passport holders do not require visas. Please note that any country may change their immigration laws without warning. Therefore, it is advisable to check before booking your flights. Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) requires South African travellers to obtain a visa prior to departure from RSA. Remember to carry your passport at all times as proof of identity and that you are in the country legally.
You will be required to carry proof of immunisation if travelling to or from a high-risk country. Our times vary from targeted industries and their business hours. As a rule of thumb 10h30 to 17h00. However, if visitors are still in the room, then ethically we remain open. If exhibitors break down their stand after the last visitor has been past their stand this generates unrest with the remaining exhibitors. When the last visitor leaves the conference room you can then breakdown. An exhibitor may not breakdown their stand within the advertised times, no matter what the reason.
All visitors are registered at the entrance to the exhibition and a copy of the register is made available to you, within two weeks after our return to RSA.
Included in your stand cost, we offer a limited bar service and snacks at pre-set intervals. Two drink vouchers are issued to both visitors and exhibitors.
Yes, the conference centres have power sockets and electrical extensions. However, you will need your own local to SA standard adaptor.
We encourage this as it shows the good relationship between the local agent and the supplier. Please note that we do not permit the agent to display any other brands and agencies they may represent.
We do not encourage this as it can be misconstrued as a marketing ploy to hand out business cards or to establish contacts. We deem this unethical and therefore, reserve the right of admission.
